Growing up in a northern coastal suburb of Perth, Western Australia, and exposed to a beach environment from an early age a passion for all things involved with the ocean was always going to be set in stone. Through my passions of surfing, fishing, snorkeling and swimming a great understanding of the ocean’s power and how it moves was gained.

While first engaging in photography in late high school the transition from hobby to profession would not occur until a study choice led me to move to the iconic surfing town of Margaret River. Altough having moved to study the winemaking profession but being continually drawn to the ocean and beaches of the Margaret River region a final choice to pursue photography as a profession instead was made. Photographing professional bodyboarders and surfers for Australian and international magazines has enabled me to visit and experience some of the most amazing and powerful places the world has to offer. In particular the West Australian coastline with its rugged, raw and remoteness has proved an avenue for capturing an abundance of amazing coastal related images.
